Anna Louise Andersen
Anna Louise both lives and works in her studios in Hamar in Norway and in Sunne, Sweden.
Anna is trained in figurative drawing and painting and her work involves many different mediums including acrylics and oils. Anna also creates sculpture using clay, plaster and concrete and light installations such as lamps and large wall pieces. She also uses collage elements in a lot of her light work.
Andersen works in a variation of the expression from classical art to urban pop art to something expressive figurative and abstract and with elements of street art, or a combination.
The variation comes from year´s of work, curiosity, testing of materials and structure and the love of the craft.
The characters may look simple but often with a deeper message, being humorous or serious beautiful or quirky.
“My everlasting love of street art, pop art and modern art took me to a mixed creative style combining many techniques in an urban direction. I am mainly influenced by today’s society (amongst other things). My work displays both serious and humorous undertones."
As Andy Warhol said “The world fascinates me!”
Anna has many works in private collections in The UK, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Italy, Spain, USA, Germany, Belgium and Saudi Arabia.
